1.What is the funniest thing you remember as a child?
I left the hospital without a name because my parents were convinced I was a boy. They were also in the process of moving into a new home that week, so they were anxious to get home and told the hospital they would get back to them. I was simply called Baby for the first few days until my mom was listening to a Nina Simone tape and decided Nina would be a good name.

2.What is the one piece of clothing you wish you owned?
Until five years ago, my family attended a Latin Mass, so my first years of Sunday worship were spent breathing in the wonderful smell of incense, hearing the bells chime during the consecration, and staring in awe at the beautiful paintings and statues that adorned our church. We have since switched to a Novus Ordo Mass, but we still say prayers in Latin each night before bed.

3.What season of the year is your favorite and why?
English has always been my favorite subject and I took both AP English and Creative Writing my senior year. Our family has several published authors, which may explain my love of writing. I was homeschooled for several years and my mom shared her love of books and writing with me. Even as a small child, I was always tucked away somewhere with a notebook, trying to write a story!

4.What is your favorite movie?
Dance has been a part of my life since the age of four and it is truly how I express myself best. I am so blessed to have for my instructor a former member of the Royal Ballet as well as Cirque du Soleil. A couple of recent highlights include being chosen to play the lead role in our spring production of the classical ballet, Cinderella, and having our dance team named regional grand champions!

5.What song makes you think of yourself?
I have been involved in suicide awareness and prevention since 2011 and founded iCARE so iACT: Suicide Awareness & Prevention that same year to save lives, educate my peers and get teens involved. To date, I have reached hundreds of teens and held numerous fundraisers to benefit various prevention organizations. I remain the youngest person on our local suicide task force and also the youngest person to receive safeTALK training in our state.
